Phyllis Back by popular demand!

Phyllis is a passionate woman who teaches the Bible with zeal. Her gifted teaching radiates God’s love and grace as she applies God’s Word to our everyday lives. She has a dynamic personality that will keep you on the edge of your seat. She will have you laughing in the aisles one minute and your heart on its knees the next. Our ladies love her teaching style and knowledge of the Bible and request her back year after year. She is a delight to be around because of her contagious joy. Phyllis will challenge you to dig deeper into God's Word as part of your faith walk.

God is currently keeping her busy in full time ministry. He is opening doors not only in the Christian community but in the secular community as well. She travels all over the WORLD speaking, teaching, and encouraging others while sharing God’s message of love. She is the author of three books: The Practical ABC's of Reducing Stress, The Practical ABC'S of Home Missions, and The Practical ABC'S of Prayer, which will be for sale at the retreat. Phyllis received her BA degree in elementary education from the University of South Carolina at Coastal Carolina College.

Karen Steele

We are pleased to have Karen back, who blessed our hearts last year with her genuine worship style for the 2013 retreat!

Since the age of three when she first stepped behind a microphone, Karen has had a passion for communicating God’s powerful, life changing message through music. She has a heart for the local church and desires to see people’s lives transformed by the power of praise.

Karen is a gifted worship leader whose experience spans multiple churches and women’s retreats. She attended Columbia International University where she earned a BA in Bible and music. Karen serves as a worship leader and musician at Community Bible Church in High Point, NC. Karen and Tim have been married 21 years and they have two children, Connor and Regan. They live in Colfax, NC.
